for my assignment the area that I am focusing on is the total amount of plastic that we use weekly. I will be showing this by collecting all the plastic in our school at the end of each day for a week, I will then stuff the plastic into a sea turtle model (made out of bendable wire) the reason that I have chosen to mold the plastic into a sea turtle is because sea turtles consume the most plastic. the turtle will be placed in the corridor where there is a lot of traffic so that majority of the students can see the project, next to the turtle will be some questions regarding whether or not this convinced people to use more recyclable plastics.

For the Year 9/10 Sustainability Assignment I will be conducting a Clothes Swap where I will advertise for people to donate clothes a week or a couple days before, and then I will right their name on a lost and on the day at recess the people who donated clothes will get first pick at the clothes they got according to how many they donated. At the end of the swap I will donate the clothes to a charity or homeless shelter instead of throwing them out. I will also be making a brochure/poster with information on how many clothes we throw out per week. The area that interest me is how as a community we can help make a difference in someone’s life as well as trying to improve the sustainability. To do this for my assignment I need to go the green shed and gather some of the clothes from the cages outside (There free) and then take them home and wash them. I would then on the day of the swap bring them in and display them in a room such as a classroom. People would then come in at recess and lunch and come swap their clothes from the ones that are there which would bring in more clothes that would people like. By making the information posters/brochures I am expanding the mental sustainability of people by teaching them more information about what the sustainability in the world is like and that they should try to limit what they throw out and really think about when they buy something if they are going to wear it. I can coordinate the day when I do my clothes swap, so we can have some sort of sustainable day and we can all do our projects on that day. The clothes swap could be run once a term or even a semester so if people enjoyed doing this they can see what new clothes and accessories are in for swap where they can bring things to swap again. We could also expand to having it twice a term or twice a semester depending on how successful the Clothe Swap ran and if people enjoyed it. In conclusion I Will be running a clothes Swap and a advertainment campaign as we throwaway too many clothes which goes to the Dump and ruins the environment.

For my assessment piece for Sustanability, the area that I am focusing on is designing and making the hanging plant garden with materials. The hanging plantation garden will include materials such as a wood plate, jars or plastic bottles, soils and either vergetable seeds, fruit seeds or other plantation seeds. The area that interests me the most in doing this creative project is making something basics materials into a creative sustainable piece. For example making something into a hanging plantation garden is exciting and fun, because getting handy and doing something new and being creative with the materials. This project will be displayed somewhere that the students, teachers and guests can see how basic materials can be created into a sustaibale piece of work, as well as somewhere the hanging plantation garden can be hanged on.

For my assignment I am focusing on recycling and using plants that are edible. Most wooden pallets go to waste and just looking at them you can do so much with them. My aim is to reuse a wooden pallet to create a vertical garden. To make this more sustainable i will grow edible plants in them so they don't go to waste. The plants will go in plastic bottles that dont have a use anymore. I will be interested to see how the project will end up like. I will be also interested if how the plants will grow and if they will survive.

James this is an interesting idea and I think it has merit you need to think about your over impact in the sustainability at JPC and how you are going market and manage this project. This project needs to be developed so it is something that can be ongoing at JPC and improves the sustainability of JPC.

The assignment I would like to implant into the JPC school community is a 2 hour session during periods four and five where at the area behind the oval students can have a go at planting native plants for this environment to help my area of sustainability environmental sustainability for the ecosystem to thrive more with native plants.

For my assignment I am focusing on the way people package there food and the way we can reduce the plastic wraps and wastage we use on a daily, my theme is wipe out Wednesday and I’m hoping then can be made a day every year at JPC. I’m hoping to impact the kids of JPC to help them understand th e impact of a simple plastic wrapper can do.

The area of sustainability I’m focused on is no waste lunch, which is based on not bring rubbish or throwing away excess food. I’m interested in this topic because the amount of rubbish on the oval and terrace is disgusting and hopefully having a no waste lunch will prevent the amount of rubbish and waste on ovals and in the school yard.

My area of interest for my assignment is the effect of soft plastics in the environment. To explore the impact on the environment and how everyone can do their part in saving the environment. Plastic int he environment effects absolutely everything, from wildlife, to the wildlife habitat and even humans. Firstly I will need to explore what plastics are the most dangerous for the environment and which plastics should be my main focus. I 100% love animals and knowing that over 100million marine animals die each year due to plastic and pollution, shocks me greatly and makes me want to do something about it. There are already many campaigns in place which I could take inspiration from. Each day students have packed lunches which more than likely have some type of plastic wrapping or packaging. Students litter frequently and/or don't dispose of their plastics correctly. At the moment there is already a strategy in place of having correct bins everywhere around the school which encourage kids to dispose of their plastic correctly, but I believe there is definitely more that we can do.

I am interested in developing a sustainable method for electronically waste that can both be implemented in school effectively and is in a convieniant enough location to be able to access it so students will be able to recycle thejr old and broken electronical devices and wires, and make newer, better products from that

For my assignment the area that I am focusing on is the total amount of plastic that we used weekly, by creating a “ Nude Food” Campaign. I will be showing this by collecting some examples of food that comes in plastic, this will show people what food they shouldn’t be bringing to school. This will create a knowledge of what food is considered “ Nude Food”. I will also be able to create a poster with information and facts about the amount of waste within our school and the rest of Australia, what foods are considered “ Nude Food” and what food is not considered “ Nude Food”, ect.
