What is sustainability? In accordance to Dictionary.com Sustainability is defined as “The quality of not being harmful to the environment or depleting natural resources, and thereby supporting long-term ecological balance”. Sustainability does not have to be precisely that, but it can also be doing things such as maintaining a garden, upcycling a piece of rubbish or even making a campaign to broaden peoples knowledge of certain things of sustainability such as how much plastic we use in a week. Sustainability is not limited to certain things you can do anything to help sustainability something that goes on in my suburb is a community garden. You can meet new people and help plant things such as flowers or fruit trees, and while doing this, regular barbeques happen where everyone can talk as a community. Sustainability can mean something different to a different person, but each answer is linked to each other as it always refers back to the environment and figuring out ways we can help improve it. The next generation is relying on us to hand them a world that doesn’t have pollution all through the air and oceans with rubbish all through the seven oceans. We should be able to give them a world that they can enjoy living their life. Sustainability is a big issue in the world today as there are issues such as all the pollution that is contained in the air and we as a community need to figure out a way to reduce it so that it is not a massive problem and that we can have a healthy environment. The government does have an essential role as they can help come up with ideas and strategies as well as well as developing policies and programs for the issues involving sustainability. A well-managed government should be able to find a way around a challenge or obstacle that may occur while trying to implement a way to help the earth sustainability. The government can also help make informed decisions as well as investing in the ideas and strategies’ put forward by the people trying to make an impact as some of it may involve a cost. Sustainability is a big issue that the world is facing and even if you think doing something like upcycling can make a huge impact. In conclusion, sustainability is the earth ability to sustain life for future generations.

The term sustainability is very simple and easy to understand but there are many definitions and meanings towards what the term sustainability means. The term sustainability is where the resources on earth and other important things that humans need in order to survive and sustain is where all things should be perfectly balanced to maintain the environment to be healthy, well, balanced for the present and the future. As to keep the sustainability term keep going and a real word in the dictionary for the future generations to know what it is, all children have the right to have continuous access to basic services and resources, such as safe, clean drinking water, sanitation, nutritious and healthy, clean foods, good health, good, quality education, clean air and safe clean energy. To be able for the world to be sustainable such as the Amazon forest for example, logging is a big thing for humans to sustain and live life well. Humans of course need wood and other sources to live and be safe in the needs, but other life such as animals live in the forest and sustain there as well, if humans take advantage and take out all the trees, there will be mass destruction and consequences. The consequences include the animals will die and lose their homes, the sources from the wood and water will be limited and take a very long time for the trees to grow back if planted, future generations will be affected from these actions, meaning the future generations will be in trouble and be affected from limited resources. This is when the term sustainability comes in and companies, people, and yourselves can help change and make the wold sustainable and well balanced from either over-fishing, deforestation, logging, hunting and other causes of destroying the earth, to be able to make the earth a sustainable place for the present and the future, there must be other ways and strategies to balance the use of resources and all living things to sustain life on earth for the better good.

the simple term of sustainability to keep the world usable for future generations so that our race can continue to progress. this is one of the many definitions that could be used for the word sustainability. to me sustainability is the act of preserving life by using the Earths resources in a manged and balanced procedure, at this very moment in time the Earth has not been looked after in a sustainable manner, a perfect example of this is the Great Barrier reef 20-15 years ago the great barrier reef was sight to behold with luscious, bright and healthy coral covering 2,600 kilometers of ocean floor, but if ou were to visit the barrier reef today, a large amount of what you'll find consists of bleached coral thanks to not only global warming but also the amount of tourists that would visit the reef daily. the great barrier reef may no longer be a significant sight by 2030 meaning that we have destroyed something fro future generations which go against the sustainable definition.

The definition of sustainability can be written in many ways, from EnvironmentalScience.org it can be seen as this, "Sustainability is the study of how natural systems function, remain diverse and produce everything it needs for the ecology to remain balanced". Overtime humanity has experienced damages to the environment by a civilization which has ended up affecting the chances of survival for those people. So we as humans must really educate ourselves on the words Sustainability and how important it is for each and every human to do their part in ensuring we don't damage our environment.

Sustainability is the study of the natural system and how it functions. In the study of sustainability it includes the effects of certain animals or speices in an eviroment. It also includes how humans effect the enviroment around us. humans effect the eviroment positivley and nagativley. Satainability is also about trying to keep the enviroment stable. There are many goals to sustainability including ending povery and hunger, better education and healthcare, achieve gender equality and a healthier enviroment. For the longest time humans have been a cumsumer rather than a replenisher and only since the Neolithic Agricultural Revolution.

The term ‘sustainable development’ was used by the Brundtland Commission (1987) which coined what has become the most often-quoted definition of sustainable development “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”

What is sustainability? Sustainability by its own definition is “avoidance of the depletion of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance” this means that there are strategies that need to be put foward to avoid any definite natural resources from being depleted

There are many definitions for sustainability but one that is refereed back to is “Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” Other definitions of sustainability say the same thing along the lines of the definition that was just mentioned. There are definitions of sustainability for the Environment, the economy and social sustainability. For environmental it is “the ability to maintain rates of renewable resource harvest, pollution creation, and non-renewable resource depletion that can be continued indefinitely.”, for Economic it is "the ability to support a defined level of economic production indefinitely." and for social it is "ability of a social system, such as a country, to function at a defined level of social wellbeing indefinitely."
