As you ILT work for this week please post below the three jobs in the sustainability field that you found and would be interested in pursuing later, with a brief description of those jobs & how they are linked to agriculture.
Archi and his stall were used to promote our sustainable squad's mission to recycle soft plastic and promote the concept to the community. Statistics showed that only 1/25 adults knew that soft plastics could be recycled at Coles or Woolies (in the bins in front of the store) Archi helped to draw focus to our campaign and his stall made a great collection point! This was the clean soft plastic collected from two week at JPC!
Archi had his undercoat painted in week 4, the map of Australia cut out in week 5 and his head painted black in week 5 also! He is well on the way to looking like an amazing piece of aggie art! Week 6 we are cutting out puzzle pieces, sanding & painting!
He is going to be divided into three sections to align with the three areas that the students have identified as their areas of interest! his head will represent biosecurity, his middle waste and his end climate change. The three areas of interest will all link back to the main theme of Cotton!
As we progress more updates will appear!

Emma Ayliffe says agriculture in the outback is the journey of a lifetimePosted on April 25, 2015Today’s guest at JPC was Emma Ayliffe she started on a sheep station in outback South Australia and takes us to the lush lakebed cropping fields of one of New South Wales’s most unique cotton operations. She’s a girl from the bush who’s found her way back again as on-farm agronomist, an enthusiastic photographer and a lover of all things crops and cotton.
Emma visited JPC and the Archi team this morning to check in on our progress and meet with the students! She presented a talk about her journey and the cotton industry!
Below is ai link to her story and on the right is her presentation she gave at our school
